Excursions

Excursions are compulsory in the mid term break, when children are sent for age appropriate expeditions with staff. Children are taught confidence and independent survival skills and respect for nature. Adventure activities are provided on certain weekends.

Report on Trip/Trekking to Bhadraj Temple

Lakshya Universal Academy school organised a one-day trekking excursion to Bhadraj Hill for the students of classes 9th-12th on 26th May 2023. It was a 14 km long journey which took almost 6-7 hours. The trek was difficult but the excitement of the students had no bounds. The journey started from Koti, where students were given refreshments. All the students were full of eagerness and elation. We had various stops in between where the students snacked and rested. No one was in a hurry to reach the top as everyone wanted to admire the natural scenery which stood before them. The lofty mountains were a great sight to see. The students reached the top one after another in small – small groups along with the teachers. Students shared the delicacies brought from their homes with everyone including the teachers. Finally, around 2:00 pm all the students and teachers reached the temple. They all had a sense of victory in finishing the adventurous and enthralling journey. After taking pictures and being enchanted by the beauty of the scenery from the temple, students started trekking down.
The end of the day came when the students came down the hilltop, tired but full of fond memories.
Students were given lunch when they all reached the village.

It was overall a wonderful lifetime experience for all of us. Students were happy and grateful to the Director-Mr Ashutosh Gupta, Principal- Mr Amit Sehgal and the teachers for organizing such a wonderful trip. After coming down students had the satisfaction of knowing that they were able to conquer a peak situated at 9000 ft. It made them realise that “There is no obstacle that can’t be conquered.”

The most awaited day of the year was the school picnic to Bhagirathi Resort, Dehradun
The school picnic was for the students of .P.G to Grade IV.

Bhagirathi Resort gave an experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature. We started at 10.30 am in the morning with a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.

We were welcomed by the staff of the Resort, and students were amazed to see the Resort . A delicious breakfast was followed by a tour of the resort where the students were excited and shook their legs to the thumping dance numbers which were played near the pool. We put on the costumes and entered the pool. The coldness of the water was soothing one. Each splash brought a smile on everyone’s face. Everybody went back to their childhood. The youngest kids of P.G, L K.g and U.K G class in the picnic , who had entered the pool for the first time. They were happiest amongst all. After spending a considerable amount of time playing with water, we had to struggle a lot to take kids out from the pool. What a memorable time it was during a picnic with the students. They even created a few crazy steps and the teachers too joined the fun.

The next place visited was the green grass lawn where the students played a few games .Every child was given an opportunity to participate and enjoy themselves.
The most enjoyable time was in the play area with swings, slides, merry-go-round, see saw, and spring animals. The group photograph time motivated students to make funny faces for the click!

All the students expressed a desire to revisit the place again. Indeed it was a great day for all the students and teachers, as it strengthened the bond between the students and their teachers.
It was a sound and safe return trip by 1.30 pm. “Cheers”.

Trip to Bhagirathi Resort

Introduction:

On 24-05-2023, Lakshya Universal Academy organized an exciting trip to Bhagirathi Resort for a group of 60 enthusiastic students of classes 5th to 8th. The purpose of the trip was to provide a day filled with fun games, swimming, and an opportunity for the students to bond and relax. The trip was a resounding success, and the students had an unforgettable experience.

Activities:

1. Fun Games:

Upon arrival at Bhagirathi Resort, the students were divided into groups and engaged in a variety of exciting and engaging fun games. These games were designed to promote teamwork, and collaboration, and enhance their problem-solving skills. The students actively participated in outdoor games like cricket and volleyball, which brought out their competitive spirit and encouraged them to work together as a team. They also enjoyed dancing and singing together.

2. Swimming:

One of the highlights of the trip was the swimming session at the resort’s pool. The students eagerly jumped into the cool water, splashed around, and had a great time. The resort ensured the safety of the students by providing lifeguards and maintaining strict watch over the pool area. The swimming session not only provided a refreshing break from the summer heat but also allowed the students to showcase their swimming skills and build confidence in the water.

3. Lunch:

A delicious and nutritious lunch was served to all the students at the resort’s restaurant. The students enjoyed their meal while sharing stories and laughter, creating a sense of camaraderie among them.

4. Bus Journey:

The journey to and from the Bhagirathi Resort was comfortable and enjoyable. The students travelled in a well-equipped bus with experienced drivers and staff. The scenic route added to the excitement, as the students admired the picturesque landscapes and engaged in conversations, playing games, and singing songs.

Conclusion:

The trip to Bhagirathi Resort was a huge success, leaving the students with lasting memories and a sense of camaraderie. The fun games, swimming session, delicious lunch, and comfortable bus journey added to the overall experience. We extend our gratitude to the school management and teachers for organizing this wonderful trip and providing the students with an opportunity to unwind, have fun, and bond with their classmates. The trip was a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic development and creating memorable experiences for its students.
